Adam Shapiro
Adam Shapiro is currently filming the new NBC comedy 1600 Penn. And most recently was nominated for an Ovation Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical for his performance in a 6 month run of “Hey, Morgan!” a world premiere musical comedy by Matthew Fogel, Directed by Matt Shakman at the Black Dahlia Theatre. Adam appeared on stage this year as “Mark” in RENT (Los Angeles), as well as You are Here, The Accidental Blonde, the World Premieres of Leslye Headland’s Bachelorette (Now a Sundance 2012 film) and the award winning Assistance with IAMA Theatre Company, and played “David” in the West Coast Premiere of Paul Grellong’s Manuscript at The Elephant.
Adam’s TV credits include 1600 Penn, Mistresses, Grey’s Anatomy, Better With You, The Closer, Medium, Moonlight, Gilmore Girls, Sweet Life of Zack and Cody, Jake in Progress, Oliver Beene. Film credits include 2012-2013 releases I Am Not a Hipster, Now You See Me, The Den, David Chase’s Not Fade Away, The Answer, and the short films Kid Deville and The Sleepy Man with Academy Award nominee John Hawkes. Tom Ford’s A Single Man, The House Bunny, Café, as well as voicing multiple characters in Pixar/Disney’s Prep & Landing on ABC, the Sundance 2009 best short film award winner: Short Term 12.
In addition to over 50 national commercials, Adam can currently be seen in the new Marriot campaign.
Adam is the Chairman of the Founder’s Board of IAMA Theatre Company and does IAMA’s graphic/web design and marketing.
