IAMA Theatre Company PRESENTS

The only thing worse than being single is being sober.

(January 1, 2008) Los Angeles, CA — IAMA THEATRE COMPANY presents the world premiere of a bitingly brilliant new play about three beautiful, troubled girls dealing bluntly with love, friendship and addiction: BACHELORETTE. Playing at the Working Stage Theatre, 1516 N. Gardner Street, West Hollywood, CA 90048. Performing Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sunday evenings at 7pm. Bachelorette runs from January 26th of 2008 through February 24th.
Bachelorette is the second of Leslye Headland’s SEVEN DEADLY PLAYS. This unique and ambitious project is comprised of a play for each of the deadly sins. These plays are about how youth leads to vice, vice brings pain, and pain pushes you into adulthood.    IAMA closed out the year with a “lustful” production of Headland’s first play in the series Cinephilia. The New Year brings the promise of six new plays to challenge Los Angeles audiences, with a culminating festival of all seven plays in January 2009. Bachelorette (“gluttony”) will begin what promises to be a very exciting year for The IAMA Theatre Company and its artist in residence, Leslye Headland.
