LARA MYRENE, ProducinG DIRECTOR
LARA MYRENE (she/her) began her theater career as a child, starting as an actor and eventually becoming a stage manager. During Frantic Redhead Productions 25 year-year tenure of presenting at the Edinburgh Festival, Lara worked her way up from actor and stage manager to associate producer. After graduating from the University of Washington with degrees in Drama and Swedish, Lara worked for Seattle Children’s Theatre as well as stage-managing plays for many local theaters in Seattle. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she became a stage manager for the Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson. Her credits also include stage-managing numerous other Los Angeles productions. Lara has also worked in film as an actor, production manager, first assistant director and producer. Lara’s introduction to IAMA was as the stage manager for "Do Like the Kids Do” and in 2015, she joined IAMA’s Ensemble. From 2017-2023, she served as IAMA's Managing Director and is excited to continue working with IAMA as Producing Director.
