About the Show
Britt Benson is flying high as her buzzy, autobiographical new play gets national news coverage before it even premieres. But once the cameras start rolling, the play is no longer center stage and she finds the sexual assault she experienced at age six suddenly publicized and scrutinized. Determined to make it to opening night, Britt tackles the meta-upon-meta s***storm head-on with a cast of characters who each believe their own version of the truth.
First brought to life as a staged reading in IAMA’s New Works Festival, Abigail Miller’s laugh till you’re crying dark comedy now gets a full workshop production that promises to be as raw as it is hilarious.

WHAT IS A WORKSHOP PRODUCTION?
Workshop Productions live in the space between a Staged Reading and Opening Night of a world premiere production. With workshop productions, the focus is on process instead of product and YOU, as our audience, are a key part of that process.
Our playwrights will continue working on the play, making edits, and writing new pages until closing night, based in part on audience response. Meanwhile, our creative team will explore design ideas, focusing on one area of design especially and how it can aid in bringing the play to life. This new model of production allows the show to significantly change from opening to closing night, so we encourage you to come more than once to see how your feedback has helped it evolve.
